    Timing Switch

How is this activated? Do I have to restart the bike or can it be done on the fly. How do I know if my switch is faulty (IE bike running "retarded") cheers
  3. Whats the worst that could happen ?

    Milky Oil...

Gee, I hope you got it fixed... but now I feel like a strawberry shake!
  5. I did a quick fluid change on my 09 TXT 300 and found a bit of grey sludge and minimal filings on my magnetic nut. Is this normal? The ATF did not seem too bad to be honest, but I changed it up anyhow as I did not know when the previous owner changed it last.
  6. Awesome! You wont regret it! Its actually much harder than I thought.
  7. A little late than never. Recently bought a 300TXT Pro after much debate on the forum. Thanks guys... I appreciate all the feedback and advice. Im Steve, Im from a small town near Cape town, South Africa. I currently have the 300TXT, an Enduro spec YZ250 2 stroke and KTM Adventure. Cheers

    300 Suspension

My 300's front feels a little soft. Anything I can do to stiffen it up a little that wont effect handling too much? Can anybody perhaps give me the stock settings, so I can set them and move from there?
  9. Decided on the 300. Bike looks good a starts easy. It has a ton of power though...phew
  10. I'm going to go take the 300 for a ride and see how she goes. I'll give the 250 some serious consideration. I'm not concerned with really big step ups right now as I think it will take a very very long time for me to master them. Right now it's all about technique and having fun. I'll let you know what I come how with tomorrow.
  11. How hard would it be to use the 300 competitively as a newbie down the line? Am I not too heavy for the little 250?
