  1. finally my brain switched on. 12v connected fan is working.
  2. I have joined the two blue wires that go to the thermostat. I have also added the 12v connection to these two wires
  3. An old topic with a lot of replies but the more I read the more confused I am. Beta Rev3 250 2008. Fan has stopped coming on. Have joined up the two wires from the fan to the stat and nothing, Have connected a 12v battery to the two fan wires and nothing. Does this mean the fan is knackered or could there be a problem with the earth. In relation to this the original engine cut out switch is working so I guess that means the earth is fine. Or is it something else. Please use little words me and electric don't mix very well. Chris
  4. Hi. Don't think so. Was in penycae Saturday if you were there.
  5. I bought another tyre on eBay. It is a 3.0x16. Much better than the original tyre. At a trial last weekend the original tyres we're spinning on a grassy uphill where as ours didn't. If your doing rounds where they check the tyres then but original, if they don't then dont. I am yet to attend a trial where this is checked. At the end of the day this is about kids learning to ride, having an effective tyre is important. The kids were so demotivated when they kept spinning up and stopping.
  6. Hi I have been using a boost battery for a few months. They are fantastic and I've had no problems at all. 7kg lighter and runs for hours. A 2015 16.0 racing only weighs 19kg now. There are a number of sceptics / scaremongers around these batteries. I have spoken to the maker of the batteries and I now Have no concerns around using it.
  7. Hi The battery packs can be seen with www.2machsmotorcycles.co.uk and on eBay. The guy who makes them can be contacted on 07725074555 his name is Keith. He will disperse some of the panic myths spread by one or two on this site.
  8. Boost now have batteries back on eBay.
  9. Try boost bikes that are available through eBay. Really good batteries. Just search on Oset lithium
  10. http://www.ebay.co.u...e-/131403473119? Boost bikes
  11. I have just put a lithium battery in from a guy that has a company called boost bikes. It cost £320 delivered. Slots straight in, drops 8kg and lasts forever. It has made a real difference to the bike. I have his number.
  12. We have now done a trial on Saturday and two hours riding on Sunday a lot of which involved a little distance. No power loss and still 3 lights
  13. How does that tyre work in muddy conditions which is quite normal in Wales. Had seen them but couldn't find a review on them
  14. Quick update to finish this off Impellor fine Cleaned connections and fan fine Thermostat fine First ride and could smell coolant again. Checked the radiator and saw that the fins were caked with mud. Power washed them through and job done. Rode for an hour or so again, then the knocking noise came back. Put fuel on to reserve and it went. I think low fuel was the noise first time around.
