  1. Frigging hell, just bought an 02 one which has a slightly shorter outlet! Nevermind I'm just going to butcher it anyway. Hopefully by next weekend will be up and running!
  2. Something's are real easy to find on the net others aren't! Can any one tell me if the 02 fuel tank is aluminium? Thanks
  3. Guys, jb weld for example? Any specific one, lots of options, just metal to metal I guess!
  4. Thanks for all the replies/suggestions. After racking my brains and trying to figure out which are feasible the only solution to fix the problem without having to buy a new tank I think is to actually weld the nut to the male part of the tank (where the threads are stripped) leaving enough thread on the nut exposed so I can still screw/unscrew the actual fuel tap to allow me to seperate the tank from the bike if needed! Fingers crossed it will work!
  5. Bike rebuild complete, fuel in tank, bike starts and runs
  6. Could somebody please upload a close up pic of the rear disc/brake caliper guard snd metal plate. Not sure which hole the guard fixes too and not sure how the metal plate sits. Thanks in advance
  7. CrazyBond700, Thanks for the reply, its the washers which are behind the kickstart lever itself which is in-front of the clutch casing, image attached. Whe you refer to "special" washer mine was just standard..... Ian kickstart.pdf
  8. Removed my kickstart from the shaft and out fell 2 washers? Looking at the GG exploded view it only shows one? Also is it right that the washer doesn't initially sit flat because of the bolt which fixes the actual lever?
  9. Ill be keeping the sprocket as is but will revert back to the original bolts. I think once its back in the bike it will be all good!
  10. Went for the new style full Jitsie rear red sprocket with new red bolts. Now I've fitted it I'm not sure I like it............ Not to mention I've already scratched it when the bike slipped of its stand and the footpeg dragged down it, was not best pleased!
  11. I did hear some good and bad reviews but my local bike shop said they are OK at a cost of £70 I should hope so and I defiantly dont want to be doing them again in the near future! What goods a spare when you cant just change one in the future! Shouldn't complain known my luck I'll bust one by putting them in!
  12. Thanks for all the responses, I've found a mate with a press who can do the dog bones, (hopefuly) The rear shock seems simple enough now I've had chance to investigate further just need to order new bearing. (Two variations) Will just have to give the housed bearings a whack with punch and hammer.
  13. Bought the All Ball dog bone bearing kit for GasGas. The kit came with 7No needle bearings, looking at the GasGas exploded view I only need 6No (item 23 on GG exploded view) Am I missing one or do I get a spare?? Again any help appreciated. Ian
  14. Thanks for the reply. I've used the socket press method on the dogbone bearings but struggling with the bearings which are back to back within the swingarm itself, there is not enough purchase space to punch out and too muct resistance and lack of space to use the socket press method. Blow Torch option is next but never really like this method......
  15. I'm beginning to regret what I've started when decided to re-build my bike. In the process of replacing dog bone bearings and really struggling to remove the bearings from inside the actual swing arm, hammer and punch method! I've also noticed there is a lot of play in the swivel type bearing in the bottom of the rear shock but cant see how to remove it? Any advise appreciated. Thanks
