  1. cheers for the replys! airbox has been off and seems fine so can exlude that. i will try taking the silecer off and riding it. would over packing the silecer make it less powerful? i did repack the silencer but and tried to the middle box too yes which i beleive may be causing the problem, has any tried the repacking of the mid box?
  2. right ive had my 05 280 txt pro for a few werk now and pretty much spent my weekends repairing bits that i didnt see when purchased and not much time riding! so i realised exhaust needed new o rings and decided to decoke and repack while it was off. now ive done this went to quarry to play and seems its struggling and not got the power it had before,i thought it would be better after this not worse. it sounds like the air filter has been taken off but checked its all fastened on correctly, ive reset the tick over and fuel air mix. now ive taken spark plug off and looks like its been running rich so i will replace plug tommorow and see what its like. i went up a hill and felt like not much bottom end then makes more power higher in revs and it used to do sweet 6th gear wheelies now i cant bearly get it to. any ideas? cheers chris.
  3. hi red ah right cool no not to far at all. yeah im currently searching for some good training ground. so will letbyou know if i find some. i just joined bradford trials and might join one huddersfield area too. i went and watched rochdale trials club at lee quarry bacup that place is perfect but not sure if only open to compete. im also ab road rider so the trials bike is very bizarre ha cheers chris
  4. ah right this seems to make sense then, as i have done road and motorcross andvrealised im using pretty much all the travel at the front doing stuff. might do just a servive anyway as it cant do any harm. didnt realise the suspension was run quite soft as i thought you would want it not too soft when you are pushing up and down and bouncing around. just thought you would use a lot of energy in the suspension, maybe i just need to get fit haha. thanks for the info.
  5. i had a play with the bike yesterday, got the rear shock to sag correctly and feels pretty good but as for the forks they feel a lil on the soft side, a screwed the compression in to firm them up and didnt seem to do anything so think i might have to pull them in bits and service them :/
  6. spot on cheers guys will have a go with it today and see how i get on.
  7. hi guys pretty new to trials and have bought a 05 txt pro 280 and just replced the rear shock link bearings. i noticed the preload collar was wound up as hard as could go, and forks seem pretty soft just wondering how most riders have their suspension set as im assuminng you would need some sag and also enough compression and rebound to help bounce the bike around but not too much as the tires bounce off things and loose grip? any help on sag and settings would be great also the damping and rebound. cheers chris
