  1. Thank you for the information. Crazy their spec sheet says 3 way adjustable and then they do that.
  2. Purchased new, a couple weeks ago and I thought it should be exactly as you described. I need to look into this further.
  3. So I have a 2023 Factory and when I went to verify the fork setting there is not a compression adjuster at the bottom of the left fork leg, just a hex head. Any idea about this? I thought top right fork tube was rebound, left top was spring, and left bottom was compression but there is only a hex head

    My prior two bikes were 250s and I am now on a Beta 200. I do not find the power lacking, it climbs hills as well as the 250s but is a little better in the slow and slippery. It pops over logs and short little burst with ease. My first bike was a Scorpa with the SY yamaha 250, very mellow with tons of flywheel, but I would not compare it to a Beta 200 at all.
  6. Well I didn't say anything negative, plus I work and help setup events every year. There is a different mindset and strategy when it comes to a traditional or a gate plus as in all competition you are battling yourself sometimes more than the competition.
  7. Bikerpet, I like your attitude! I like gate trials but I struggle because I still worry about my score so I tend not to push myself too much (but some) in fear of a zero. Some gates score a little differently so you get points until your dab but if a failure then a zero. In a traditional trial I ride a line probably a little above my pay grade because I do not want any easy day and low score. The only trial in 7 years that I didn't like was because it was too easy. I like a harder trial and I have scored over 100 and still had a great day, like it better than having a 10 on the day. I guess if I am scoring 30-60, I feel I am in the correct class.
  8. Most Gate Trials seem to be as soon as there is any footing it equals zero points. We did have a club that had you keep your points that you had before the footing as long as you didn't have a standard 5 then that was a zero. They also gave an extra point at the finish gate that you received as long as you had no footing in the section. I think I liked this best because I could push myself a bit and not end up with a zero
  9. Running 10/42 on my 2019 Beta 200. Feels perfect to me but could see using 10/43. I purchased my bike used and he had 9/42 which was too low, for me, I ran out of gear. I guess shift up but I was used to using a certain gear in a certain situation.
  10. That happens that way sometimes. I think when you trade sometimes you concentrate more, try to get a feel for it and it then works out. You lose your bad habits for a moment
  11. I would check setup. I went from a 2020 TRS 250RR to a 2019 Beta 200 (Factory suspension). I cant explain why but I feel more comfortable on the Beta. I feel the 200 has plenty of motor and I think I like it a little better. Everyone wants Reiger and Tech so they must be better but I cant tell the difference and like my suspension. I am a solid intermediate/sportsman. Both are great bikes.

  13. I recently picked up a used Beta Evo 200, I only have about 3 hours on it but I am very pleased. My last two bikes have been 250cc (TRS and Sherco) and I do not feel like I gave up anything power wise. The 200 is super smooth, climbs hills, pops the front right over logs, chugs great and does not even think about stalling. It had a 9 tooth front so i went back to the stock 10/42 and that is where it will stay.

    Beta 300 4rt

    I had a 2011 300 4t, very reliable and I found the power to be perfect and offer great traction. The easiest bike to start cold or hot. I was worried because starting a hot/stalled 4 stroke mx can be such a pain. The trick to hot start the 4T after a crash/tip over is just to hold the throttle wide open and a steady smooth kick.
