  1. Hi, iv mailed 3 companies who show this on their website and none have come back to me aftwr numerous emails. Does anyone know where is the best place to buy this kit and what is included in it?

  3. Is that lampkins? Mechanic said he was onto them looking for a cdi, wonder why they didn't say it
  4. Hi lads, my techno gave up the ghost and mechanic said i needed to get the stator re wound but the spark is still weak. He reckons the cdi needs replacing but we have searched high and low and cannot find one anywhere. Apparently the cdi used in my bike was only used for a year or so and its rare. My question is, could i get a matching stator and cdi from another bike and fit them and would it work?
  5. Just tested the coil, only getting between 5-9 ohms when i put one test rod in and another against the frame of the bike, is that a correct reading?
  6. How much do they charge for that and how much for a replacement? Whats the procedure to remove it? Cheers
  7. hi lads, I dont seem to have a spark in my beta techno, its a 99 b6. The bike started getting hard to start 3 weeks ago after washing, you could kick it 20 times and it will not start then just go on the next kick. If i stall or turn it off during a spin it will be the same trying to get it started again. Iv cleaned the carb and fitted a new plug, i have fuel, clean and oiled filter and tons of compression. I removed the new plug and could not see any spark turning it over by hand so i held the plug while turning it and I didn't even get a small shock. I did a few searches and it lead me to this forum and so i checked decided to check the stator, I disconnected the connection where the stator connects to the cdi and put a multi meter in the red and brown wires and am getting an average reading of 443.5 ohms, quite near to the recommended 480-480 ohms iv read and just Reading uk motoplats site they say between 400-450 is perfect Any ideas before I put a match to it? Thanks lads
