  1. Welcome, Send me a round trip plane ticket so you can have someone to ride with. Scott
  2. Thanks to Larry, I found out and fixed the chatter problem. The end of the return spring was not around the bolt, so I used the trusted needle nose pliers and a screwdriver and it went over with not much trouble. I started it up and all sounds quiet. As soon as the rain stops I'm going out riding again. Thanks to all of you for your information and help. Scott, (I expect all future fixes to be as easy, Moll)
  3. Thanks for the help. I will see what I can do this week. Finally found out how to send a video of the sound. Highlight link then choose go to I'm not sure how else to attach one here. 2 videos https://www.dropbox.com/s/44yusw86v1yasbu/kickstart%20chatter1.MOV?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/y9gzf42dzqnvruc/kickstart%20chatter2.MOV?dl=0
  4. Thanks for the information on local events. I will check them out. I am also running E0 gas mix. I found some in Uniontown, Pa and by Elizabeth, PA. I never knew that there were so many Ethanol free gas stations around. Running Bel ray for mix.
  5. I think it is the kick start ratchet inside the gearbox. I did tighten the kick start to the spline and it is tight. What is the fix for the ratchet?
  6. I just got this bike and didn't notice the chatter the first week. Now I notice it alot. The kick-starter seems to chatter all the time. When I press lightly on the top it will stop. I tried to move it forward a bit, but it did not help. I couldn't find anything in the forums or on line? Any suggestions to why? Do I just have to put up with it while I ride? Thanks for any help.
  7. Tried to start my new M151...got it started...heard lots of chatter from kickstart in neutral, put it it gear and still heard it. Touched kickstart on top and chatter stopped. Hard to ride trials with one hand on kickstart, so I'm investigating the cause. So far nothing yet except for moving the kickstart forward...didn't work. Bummer.
  8. Hi everyone, I had to wait a long time for my first Bultaco Sherpa T 350, but the wait is over. I found a 1975 M151 in really good condition and have been riding a bit everyday, My older muscles remind me of that daily! I wish I would have had done this 30 years ago! These bikes are great! I would like to see them manufactured all over again. The bike is sharp to look at and a blast to ride! I just wish there were more classic trails organizations out here in western Pennsylvania. Any tips on keeping this Bull running great would be greatly appreciated. A great day to All,
