I have the same model but 2.9, i wondered if the 2002 rear fender/ mudguard fitted ? The frame is the same so unless the fuel tank is drastically different it might fit?

When washing your bike is there anything you cover up? I.e electrics, air filters, exhausts? I plan on taking my bike out for the first proper run tomorrow or Sunday. I know its possibly a simple question but if you don't have experience you don't know

Thanks for the advise, yeah the exhaust is absolutely caked! Whipped it off late last night. What would you say is best to clean it out with? I've ordered that wiring piece from splat shop (£30!) but at least it will fix it

Dear guru's.... I've attached a couple of photos, hopefully they loaded ok. One of my wires have snapped off really close to something, a little black box. The wire goes to the thermostat I believe. Is it possible to do anything with it? Too close to solder I think. Also, I changed my spark plug, I don't think its ever been changed, is that colour normal for a two stroke or is it running rich? I believe the fuel to be running 50 to 1.

How is it that some bikes have coloured rims? Are they stickers, painted, or anodised from factory? Tia

I've just reassembled my clutch as it was before I taken it off, what I noticed is that the last plate is seated 1 notch over, so I.e not inline with the others. Is this correct? Also I have reassembled it dry and filled back up with oil, am I at risk of damaging the clutch on first use? Thanks in advance.

Ok great, I'll get it replaced before I ride, I'm glad I asked! The previous filter was covered in thick oozy red gloop and really clogged with dust and dirt. I taken it off and washed in swarfega. Out of interest, where/ what are the head bearings that you refer to? Cheers for all your help by the way people.

Oh and there's this nipple on my fuel cap, whats that all about? It lets fumes out and my garage is starting to stink of 2 stroke lol!

Amazing video, never knew all that was in there!! The previous owner said he packed it with something else, like shredded paper or something? I feel the need to get it in bits and check!
