  1. just had the peg lug welded back on and never unpluged anything, been out on it for a couple hours and its fine. the chap that did it is an enduro rider (ec 250) , done welding over 25 years, said the currant wont do anything to it. on this occasion (at least ) he was right.
  2. hi, thanks for the replys guys, i forgot about the electrics maybe getting frazzled good job you mentioned that thanks i tryed to hold the peg on with a million cable ties to get me through the trial but they all popped in about 10 mins so i carried on as best i could.
  3. hi, are the footpeg lugs made of steel ?? and are they easy to weld ? i had my left peg knocked off on sunday in the ladies trial. finished it on one peg! i know someone who welds but need to know if they need specil rods or anything cheers
  4. yeah just an idea, i hope you get sorted soon, i hate it when things go belly up. when my kill buton went bonk there was no visible damage but when i disconected it the bike was fine.

  8. hi all, im keen to enter the women and girls this year but have no idea what to expect with regards to the sections, or weather im good enough. i was looking to do the intermediate route, any ideas on how difficut it is likely to be. they have three routes a,b, and c , (b is their intermediate) do you think the sections will be the same difficulty or easyer than what im riding at the moment. thanks in advance for your advice/help. oh ive recently moved up to novice/clubman route to give you an idea of my abillity
  9. i use " puncture free" its designed for off road tyers, is similar to that green slime stuff but white with flecks of brown somthing in it. ive used it for over a year and never suffered any air loss (touch wood) even at realy low pressures. is about a tenner a bottle and id recomend it

blimy, you were lucky to get 2 months out of the iris chain. i bought one put it on and it only lasted half a trial! on closer inspection of said chain, 4 other links were cracked aswell. all this in two hours use of a brand new chain. merry xmas all !!
  12. i just had a call back from a chap in gobowen that does magnesium welding, he tells me that magnesium "explodes a bit" when you weld it. he says he will do it for 25 quid cash. im gonna take his offer. thank you for your help.
  13. hi, thanks for that. i tried andy first but sadly he couldnt do it. ill give phil a try and then dig out the yellow pages. thanks
  14. hi everyone, while trialing last weekend my chain snapped , i was going pretty fast between sections and it whipped up under the swinging arm and broke off the chain tensioner arm bracket thingy, it has left about a quarter of the thread. anybody know were i can get it welded/retapped . or if any of your spanner men can do it for me. i have taken the swinging arm off ready. oswestry area. local bike shop cant do it and doesnt know any one who can. eternaly greatful for help and advice.
  15. hi, use the snail cams that are on either side of your wheel spindle to aline the wheel, this in turn tensions your chain the snail cams will have either notches or lines to help get it correct. make sure you have them the same both sides. i was told that if you can easily get your thumb between tensioner and swingarm your about right. but thats just how i do mine. hope this helps
