  2. Hi all, I recently fitted a new clutch to my fantic 205. It still slips like a wet fish! Any ideas?? Its got non synthetic oil in it and i have tried the adjustment on the lever but no change. Is there an internal adjustment? There is nothing on the other end of the cable but someone said the rod might need adjusted? What and where is the "rod" !!?? 3. this is our most popular gallery. its had more hits than all the others! http://www.power-images.co.uk/gallerys/200...babes_07-05-06/ I wonder why!!??
  4. sure is! I just bought a fantic a few weeks ago but have not been out on it much yet. I have a cbr600 for the road and a trials bike is a million miles away from it to ride so i am basicly starting from scratch! to be honest i will probably sell it when the racing season starts. wont have much time to use it! iain.
  5. Andy, do you know colin? He is on a big boat in the freezing land of norway for 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. think he is home tonight..?
  6. that was their first show on the new 4-strokes and they said they took a bit of getting used to. the engine braking was catching them out and the extra weight and longer wheelbase made some of their obsticles interesting but they did well. yes i put a few of those pictures on the BSB forum too along with a few others from the bike show. there is a full gallery from the bike show on my website http://www.power-images.co.uk/gallerys/2006/other/10-03-07/ Iain.
  7. Hi all, I thought you guys might like to see some pictures of the extreme trials diplay team, taken at the scottish motorcycle show yesterday at Ingleston. With press access I was allowed very close... sometimes too close for comfort!! enjoy!
  8. Hi, After me thinking i had a good deal on my 1989 fantic 205, it turns out the clutch is slipping like a wet fish! I have tried to adjust on the lever but makes no difference. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how easy it is to change clutch plates on a fantic? I have done clutches on cars but never a bike. any help would be gratefully received! cheers guys, Iain. 9. Thanks for all the advice! here are a few pictures. you can see from the pictures of the front hub that it used to be orange but has been cleaned back to the bare metal. the fork legs and yokes have been powder coated white recently... so there is every chance that they were orange once upon a time. you can see by where the stickers used to be on the tank picture and it looks like it said 205 or something? the frame looks a bit grubby but i can assure you its just a heartening layer of grease all over it! i said it was looked after but not exactly sparkling clean... but trials bikes aint supposed to be clean... right? the guy told me it was a 1990 but from what some of you are saying this might not be right...??
  10. its an orange tank but the rest is white. the mudguard and seat unit are new so it may have been all orange until recently
  11. Hi, i have just bought what i have been told is a Fantic 205 but i know nothing about it. I will get some pictures sorted out when it stops raining! I have a few questions i need answers to if anyone can help..? What cc is it? does anyone know if i can get a manual on cd or book? (cant find anything on ebay!) what is the fuel/oil mixture suposed to be? whats it worth??! Its got nearly new michelin xII tyres and has been well looked after. new fork seals and back shock has been overhauled and works on all adjustments. new wheel bearings front and back. the mudguard is new and its got brand new renthal bars and grips, new brake pads, new chain + sprocket, filters... and so on. It starts almost first kick... after i realised i was trying to kick it the wrong way!!??! I paid
  12. HI ALL, I have just bought a fantic. I know nothing about it and am looking for some info! I have never owned a trials bike before as i am used to road bikes. I have no proper equiptment or even off road boots! ... but i hope to get some stuff in the next month or so. I will put a post up in the fantic section and ask a few questions but just wanted to say hello in this one first! iain.
