    87 Tr34 Clutch Woes

OK, so its back together now. I'll try a slightly easier noob question. What oil should I be putting back in the engine/gearbox ? (I've ruled out extra virgin olive/castor and groundnut so far !) Welcome to the fun and friendly world of trials riding. Jeesh, what a handy forum ! Oh well, at least Mr Lampkin's shop seemed quick and efficient for mail order spares. I shall pop oop there and rattle his brains at the weekend. Thanks Everyone.

  3. Hi, Am the recent proud owner of a TR34 which I'm restoring to its previous glory. See : http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g195/dwbrown/BetaTR34/ Bought a clutch kit from Steve Goode as it wasn't playing ball at all. On removal of the stuck plates there were 7 friction plates with 6 spacers and a thick aluminium plate at the crank end. The replacement clutch kit came with 8 friction plates and 7 metal spacer plates. So, I ditched the two extra plates and refitted with the original aluminium spacer. But alas the clutch is still foobar. Any hints anyone ? Newbie explanations preferred !! ;-) Cheerz - Brownz
