    Beta Rev3 2004

yep, frame/engine #s listed by year and size here: http://www.betatrialuk.com/content/view/117/
  3. thanks! that's a little cheaper than $70 to $100 for a OEM beta fender!
  4. Do you have any more info on this option? I looked at both the US and International Acerbis sites and could not find any evidence that they make trials plastics. Thanks in advance
  5. I was told that they were required by a friend who's been involved with RMTA for a long time, but you may want to confirm. Was also told that stickers from home state were acceptable. I can't imagine that they would turn people away who had payed all that money and driven across country, but you may want to double check, see what your options might be if required.
  6. Yeah, I'm really not sure how that the OHV sticker issue works for the Nats, and the last thing I want to do is mislead anyone, I'm just passing on what I was told by a friend @ RMTA. From what I heard, although it's private land, the owner is a forest ranger and a stickler for the rules. You may want to call RMTA or the Nationals folks and confirm. Hopefully they will have a temp sticker option or something for out of state riders (given the $100 a day fee, hopefully it's taken care of). RMTA
  7. Unfortunately the Colorado OHV sticker process is pretty slow and I don't know if you could get one quickly, if you have a sticker from your home state, that is fine also.
  8. Don't know how much I can help cause I have'nt ridden near Canyon City For what it's worth, in my part of Colorado (Boulder area) and the other areas that I've ridden, mud is pretty rare. Mostly we have dry (unless it's snowing), loose, and rocky. Also for what it's worth (about 2 cents I would guess), the Penrose-Commons trail system is in vicinity of Canon City, the first link below has some pics of the terrain. Obviously terrain can vary tremendously from one spot to another but some nice pics none the less. linky1 linky2
  9. From the RMTA website (http://www.coloradotrials.org/): As all of you know, if you ride in the forest in this state you need two things. One is a spark arrestor and the other is an OHV sticker. The RMTA also uses the the same rules. If you need an OHV sticker you can get the form and maybe the sticker at your local motorcycle shop (the easiest ) or the State parks department. *edit* too slow on my posting! scooped by city trials!

    Sticky Clutch

For what it's worth, when I switched to the ELF HTX-740 that problem pretty much went away on my 2005, expensive stuff though
  11. organic coolant with NO water added from the Web: Fresh Water. In stagnant distilled water at room temperature, magnesium alloys rapidly form a protective film that prevents further corrosion. Small amounts of dissolved salts in water, particularly chlorides or heavy metal salts, will break down the protective film locally, which usually results in pitting. Dissolved oxygen plays no mayor role in the corrosion of magnesium in either freshwater or saline solutions. The corrosion of magnesium alloys by pure water increases substantially with temperature. Organic compounds. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, ethers, glycols and higher alcohols are not corrosive to magnesium and its alloys. Ethanol causes slight attack, but anhydrous methanol causes severe attack. The rate of attack in the latter is reduced by the presence of water. Pure halogenated organic compounds do not attack magnesium at ambient temperatures. At elevated temperatures or if water is present, such compounds may cause severe corrosion, particularly those compounds having acidic final products.
  12. my condolences see you in a couple weeks or so
  13. Rod, I had the same question for my 2005, since I was not smart enough to just ask the question here, I removed the cylinder cap and measured the bore: 76mm for the 270, 72.5mm for the 250. Mine was the 270 as advertised, must be an easier way to check though Also, I don't know if those #s hold true for all Rev3 years, they probably do though. Come ride Lefthand with us next weekend!!
  14. +1 was at the Denver race, watching the trials bikes mix it up with the big bikes was the best part of the race. it's a real shame to lose that!
  15. thanks guys, put the vforce in w/o the spacer, going to ride tomorrow and see how it feels
