  1. Seconded. This was a terrific day out. Many thanks to the organisers.
  2. The original carb is a dellorto 28 mm with an accelerator pump.
  3. The axle and fork leg are both aluminium. Heating / cooling doesn't help I'm afraid.
  4. Just a word of warning. When I first tried to take the front axle out after 9 months of ownership it had seized in the fork slider. (The slider with no pinch bolt). I had to drill it out. Worth taking out to grease now and then. I imagine the new shercos are the same.
  5. Hi. Have you checked if the float is sticking? Tap the float bowl hard with a screw driver handle to release it and let fuel in. Worth a try?
  6. I have a 2015 scorpa twenty 250. A flywheel weight has been the best mod to take the snap out of it and help with grip on slimy surfaces.

    Rev3 V Evo 250?

I had a 2008 rev3 and a 2012 evo. In my opinion the evo is a much better bike. The engine is much smoother and the link in the rear suspension is better on big rocks. The evo is easier on tight turns and the carb doesn't leak from the breather tubes.

    Flywheel

You need an impact wrench with a black hex socket. Cordless or compressed air. No need to lock the crankshaft with a power tool.

    2016

Make sure the 2 pegs close to each other on the air filter frame are at the bottom when you try to fit it. If you twist the filter a bit you should feel when they locate. It is also very difficult to get the screw to line up. You need the knob to be touching the bottom of the airbox before it is lined up right.

    2015 Scorpa...

I bought the 250 scorpa 2015 after 3 years on a 2012 beta 250 evo. Feels lighter than the beta and definitely more lively. Riding position is a bit more forward. Has very good steering lock like the beta. Engine is very torquey for a 250. Suspension is better than beta and it is very easy to keep the front light which I like. May wish it had more flywheel when the winter comes but so far very good. The steering feels more like a beta than sherco which feels like it wants to tuck under slightly to me. Air filter is same as gas gas and for me difficult to change compared to a beta. No regrets so far!
  12. Hi RedRudster Here is a thread about the Ossa Explorer - http://www.trf.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15780&sid=66b81dea0e4874ff1e7f2dd932728966&start=10 I'm interested in this type of bike for riding long distance trials in the UK. I was thinking about buying one myself but ended up buying the Sherco X-Ride instead because the first year Explorer seemed to have a few reliability issues including gearbox problems, the later versions seem much better. The KTM FreeRide is a similar bike but slightly bigger - not so suitable for trials, the Beta Alp is a bit old fashioned but a useful trials bike as well. All of these latest generation trail bikes are great fun, light, low and tractable compared to enduro bikes. Best Regards Sam W.
  13. Cheltenham HomeGuard Motorcycle Club are running an open trial at Hayes Coppice near Monmouth on Sunday 26th. There are three routes and the easy route will be suitable for novices and P65 bikes. See details on the Event Calendar. We are accepting entries on the day. Should be a good day out for riders of all abilities. Hope to see you there.
