Childish humour........ But oh so funny..... Keep it up.
  4. I know what you mean Cope. Its a very strange situation. I thought the button was knackered but it looks like the low resistance to earth is def coming from the coil. Its no major drama as i said cause i will just run without a stop button. The only thing i could think of was if the coil has somehow got a restricted earth fault through the bolt to the frame?? but nevermind at least its running. Cheers Iain
  5. Hello everybody, I am looking for a bit of worldly knowledge...... Having rebuilt the bike over the winter with much frustration i have eventually got to the point of getting her going again. Now all was well after the rebuild and it started fine..... and carried on running fine. I had to fit a new clutch cable and sort the back brake and we were ready to go. Tried starting her again but no joy. Checked all the obvious and eventually got hacked off and drained the carb, cleaned the jets, changed the fuel, renewed the fuel hose and checked fuel was being drawn through to the carb. All good and a nice strong spark. Still no start though. Eventually checked the stop switch and found quite low resistance. Disconnected it and away it went after two kicks. I cut out the stop switch and put a temporary switch in but found the resistance is still low?? Checked the coil and it seems the low resistance to earth ~600ohms is coming from the coil. So does anyone know what resistance i should get from the coil to earth? Worst case i will run without a stop button but just wondered if its possible to sort without buying a new coil. Any info is welcome Cheers Iain

  7. Cheers cope.... Will go for that... Parts all here and rebuild imminent. Iain
  8. Well I have recently had the frame welded on my bike and all parts are on order from splatshop. Once arrived I shall begin the task of rebuilding the beast. Fortunatley the bash plate has gone on without too much trouble and I have a rolling chassis for the engine to drop into once repaired. I see some discussion has taken place regarding engine oil. I take the concensus is to use 5w30 oil? Back to work tomorrow so once the spares arrive I will hopefully have some days off to get it rebuilt. Iain

    Motegi GP

Well what race today. I am glad to report racing is back as Mr. Rossi and Mr. Lorenzo proved today. No love lost between that pair anyway. Spies had a good comeback after his off. All in all a good early morning race Iain
  10. A sad loss to the sport and a timely reminder that motorsport is dangerous.
  11. Awesome racing that weekend from all classes..... If Scott reading could put a good race together he might break the top ten in the standings.... Good comeback for him and De'Angelis after the horror accident as well.
  12. Met a girl in the park..... There was an instant spark between us..... She fell at my feet and as i s****ed her i thought these taser guns are well worth the money!
  13. Well I started drilling it out but I couldn't get the swingarm to separate from the engine so it ended up as a combination of beating it out and wedging the frame a bit to hacksaw through it. The bolt came out easy enough after that. The new one will be getting drowned in copaslip when it goes in. Iain
