  1. Nice work Mr. Butler! I wish i would have know who uou were at the trials, i would have liked to talk to you some there. ( I am Carsen Sparks' father...)
  2. Okay guys, thinking of making the leap here... what about this: http://www.nycewheels.com/lithium-polymer-ae-3610.html or this: http://www.nycewheels.com/10ah-lithium-ebike-battery-seat-post-mount.html with a charger like this: http://www.nycewheels.com/ezeebike-lithium-battery-charger.html or this: http://www.nycewheels.com/lithium-polymer-36v-charger.html From what I can tell the discharge limiter is all built in, a plug and play scenario. Any thoughts would be much appreciated... I am not up to speed on this and my business doesn't allow me much time to research and educate myself to the extent that I am comfortable making a decision on my own.
  3. Thanks for the update! I appreciate you doing this! Looks like they made the sections a little tougher this round... I will look forward to checking back here tonight for today’s results!
  4. Hey Jon, I say we only let him "join our club" if we can have an event on this great land he speaks of...
  5. changing grips to the renthal full diamond soft helps a lot too... they are a smaller diameter thus taking up less of their little hands on the grip and allowing for a little more reach from their fingers... then you can adjust the levers in even a bit more...
  6. do you have the levers adjusted "in" and then adjusted for properly after that? my boy started on the 12.5 at 2 1/2 as well and had no problem at all locking up the rear brake... In the beginning i took off the front brake all together as to not overwhelm him with options. by the time he was three he was only using two fingers to brake and locking it up easily, he is small for his age. I understand what you are after as i am right now converting his 16 to hydro brakes... but i was pretty impressed with the band brakes myself... just wondering is all...
  7. thanks. yeah, i was wondering about the foot brake. I ride a sherco so i will take a look at mine to get an idea of how it could work.
  8. gwhy, do you have a pic up of your bike wit the rear brake installed? I would love to see how you did it!
  9. i am curious about welding on these bikes... do you remove ALL electronics first? Do you use any type "anti-zap" device that clamps to the frame to protect electronics? Do you just disconnect the battery?
  10. in the States here the "open ended" ones are sold as street bike / roadrace grips and you can get them in any compound... i run open ended soft compound.
  11. Thanks Frogger! I am going to read up on it a bit here... what model do you have?
  12. GJ - Having grown up racing mx i know exactly what you are talking about and agree wholeheartedly... On the other hand, like Frogger, i do plan to use this with my boy, we have a great relationship. I would use it two different ways; One while play riding, i could say" hey, lets try going over here" , "nice job buddy" , "did you see that rabbit?" he could say "did you see me do that Dad!?" you get the idea... I would also use it in completion. We have a very healthy level of communication and he craves my advise. As we walk the section he will from time to time even ask me to "stand here and make sure i see this line"... It can be done in a fashion that builds the relationship and helps him enjoy competing even more.
