  2. In french, a fork is a "fourche" and the yokes are called "t
  3. By the way: the friend of mine I told attemted to the Ventoux, his name is Michel Gossiaux. A pic of his bikes is on my website: http://www.trialclassic.be/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=108:la-scuderia-gossiaux&catid=42:swm&Itemid=74 And see the results: The Belgian Cordonnier/Goset/Scheen all with Betor, two places before Burgat/Coutard/Schreiber, all with Betor too! Goset drove one of the Michel Gossiaux'bike and Michel had made the set up of the Bernard Cordonnier's one, with the help of my clutch springs. Nicolas
  4. The problem is: I don't know what the word "yokes" means. Why do I prefer the Betor? A great feeling of softness. Just what I'm waiting for dampers. You can always set up the handlebar position with some trick. Nicolas
  5. I'm owning some 320's. All with Marzocchi's. One of my friends owns 4 320's, all with the Betors. I do prefer not to try one of his bikes, because it's to hard to come back on one of mines. Since nearly 30 years, I've allways been told that the Betors was better than the Marzocchis. Sorry for the bad english. Nicolas

    Flywheel Weight

Hello I own a 320 TL with an Aprilia clutch. The clutch cover is not the only difference, all the clutch system was updated by Aprilia. I think the main advantage of the Aprilia is that, when you work on your clutch, you don't have to remove all the carter, but just the plate. Also the set up is easier to do. For the flywheel, you'll find an old receipt bi Gilles Burgat: take off 800 grammes (it's on the Continent). I removed 3 mm from the radius of mine, (
  10. Hello Trying to keep the currents standings of EC solo, as a poor belgian twinshocks rider, I'm reading the results of the Chalford Stroud legs and I don't know how understand the scale of British classes: GENT EXP BEG CLUB Could someone give me the order from the most difficult class to the lowest? Thanks in advance Nicolas
  11. Hallo Mike I'm sorry for that terrible mistake. I have submit the table to Bernd Kreutz, and of course, he said the same. The matter is not easy, I found nowhere on the net an example of standings or a text with the rules. Furthermore, the Hergenroth and Bilstain organizers did not publish the datas about unit/pre-unit, 2T/4T and capacities of the bikes. But I don't give up, I'll try to fetch all that. Thanks for your answer Nicolas ps I'll add a link for your pictures
  12. Hello I tried to make the rankings of EC solos after Bilstain: http://www.motobecane-trialclub.be/images/...Classement.html Sorry, I couldn't merge the british categories of Chalford/Stroud trial with the continental ones. I'd like to read your comments. Nicolas
  13. I went to the two days of Bilstain, Belgium, my first trial since the mod. My first lap was horrible: I stalled the engine at four sections in a row. Then I settled the idle screw at a higher speed and the engine stalled no more for the rest of the trial. I'm very glad: it's over with that feeling that you're riding a lazy mule in front of a bank, and except this idle problem, I didn't feel any bad sides. Nicolas

    Tl 320 Tuning

Hello Please apologise for my bad english! I once heard that top level 320 SWM riders lightened the weight of their magnetic wheel for 0.800 kilos. I just reduced mine for 0.450 kilos, and at first glimpse that gives to me a good feeling: I'm driving much more a trial bike than a tractor. But I'm wondering: must the ignition advance be modified? Thanks Nicolas
