The fourth round of the Inch Perfect evening series of trials on Wednesday, August 15, moves away from traditional Lancs County venues to a new venue for the club at Ghyll Farm, Bowston, the home of the club's regular rider Mike Batty.

This marvellous land has in the past hosted a youth Oset trial and was briefly a group of sections in a trial a good few years ago, but to all the regular Lancs County riders it's a brand new location.

It's principally rocky streams with a few sections on a hillside, but is a location that has recently undergone a lot of clearance work so all the becks are well prepared and it should prove to be a great evening trial venue where the usual format will be either 4 laps of ten sections or just possibly three laps of 12 over a normal clubman route and a dead easy route for beginners and returnees.

Whilst Bowston, just north of Kendal might seem a bit out of the way for some of our regular North West Centre riders, it's actually easier to reach than some of the venues we use. Just leave the motorway at junction 36, head towards Windermere and the turning to Bowston is about a mile from the northern end of the Kendal by-pass. There will be signs to the venue. It really is a good place with plenty of parking and easily accessible sections to both ride and watch. Start time is 6pm - but no later than 6.30 if time is tight for you on an evening - and hopefully we will have catering.

Do make an effort to ride this trial, not just North Western Centre riders but also Northern Centre riders who have just lost the last Bassenthwaite evening trial due to the very dry weather conditions.
