A great day of sun and trials made for a brilliant change, making the trial a huge success for the locals and with the great following we have from further afield!

Three laps of 15 sections was the recipe, unfortunately over a shortened course, the river couldnt be crossed on Friday and Mr Fish said Sunday would be wet, so we aired on the cautious side, hind sight aye! Well to a man you all seemed to enjoy, a little easier maybe, but think it was not far away. The good news is one of the landowners is going to hopefully sort us some more land for next year and make it possible to make it an even bigger ride round.

Thanks greatly to David Braithwaite and Bing for setting out, to Ian Oldcorn, Gary Kitching, Gareth Storey, Mark Batty and Oran Speakman for keeping the trial going during the day and whipping in afterwards, thanks also to Wally for sorting flags, thank you also if ive missed you out. Many thanks to all our observers for today and for helping us through the year, you undoubtedly make our events superb, by having all the sections manned, letting riders ride and get a true result, as opposed to the usual observe what you think approach and if you dont like it, alter it.....

A great big thank you to Margaret for handling the entries and doing a lot of background work, ably assisted by Ursula and always Kim! Saturdays before a trial in this house are always manic, with bed after midnight and rising for just after six the following day.... Many thanks go to the club secretary Claire who helped today and has helped greatly right through the year, also to Steve Dent and Ted Mason who have helped with memberships and ACU forms before a lot of the events. Our events are packed with effort and my sincere thanks go to all those who have helped us through the year, the list is many.... but its greatly appreciated. Thanks today to all our landowners and all our landowners through the year, we have some great land that we use, so we are greatly indebted to you all. Like to thank Martha and Julian who have attended our events all year, do a great job and are very supportive of Westmorland events, thanks greatly today to Martha for the use of his brilliant box trailer, which would of been an even bigger god send... had it rained like we thought it would, sorry to those who bumped there heads... after warning most of you, i did just that too... lol

We now look forward to the Lonsdale Cup on 27th January 2013 which will start somewhere near Firbank, maybe from the new car park! entries will be out late November.... Next year we hope to be back on the national scene, applications are in, so fingers crossed! What we will have is top class events for all, were also starting dead easy trials for new starters, schoolboys and those wanting to either come back to trialing or just wanting a fun trial to ride. We hope to have one in October and then maybe another, or there will be more next year, if you wish to help organise these events, please let us know.... details of the events will be on our website(westmorlandmotorclub.co.uk) or on trials central.

Enough from me.... results havent all the ties done, so will try to do these later after me tea! yes i havent had it yet (19-50) but like to get the results on for you first. Hopefully next year will see less doorknobs and handtools bothering us, but probably wishfull thinking, one thing you will get, is lots of effort from all the team and top notch events, my unreserved thanks to all those that have made our events the success they undoubtedly are with good entries and top class riding throughout the year....

Next weekend sees the LGTRC running a trial, not sure where, but if you look on their website, sure details will be there or here on trials central.
