Greensmith Trial Results - Revised
On Sunday, South Birmingham Club hosted the latest round of the Sammy Miller championship
Heavy early morning mist greeted most riders as they rose for the journey to the Clee Hill, though for some who had enjoyed the local hospitality the night before, their heads were shrouded in a mist of a different kind. Sammy himself had made the long journey from Hampshire to flag riders away at the start by which time the mist had cleared (for some) and riders left for the first group of sections bathed in glorious sunshine that was to last for the rest of the day.
The event proved low scoring at the sharp end of the results in most classes, but there were some testing sections in places that had riders thinking and the scores reflect some good and consistent riding, as marks were easily squandered if lines weren't studied and concentration maintained (or fuel filters fitted...)
Results are attached, thanks to the South Birmingham Club and all observers for a very enjoyable day's sport.
I've just received a revised set of results as the scores for a couple of riders were incorrect on the original results sheet. The revised results are attached, I don't know which riders are affected so I've left the original results on in order that you can draw a comparison.
