Westmorland Motor Club - Hutchinson Cup Trial

westmorland motor clubPlease find results attached for both days......

Unfortunately an input error resulted in the C & D results being incorrect, the club apologises to both riders involved, Daniel Slack now wins C Class Standard Wheel from Billy Green on most 1's, all other results are unaffected.

Today not only were the riders tested but the organisers, observers and all the riders helpers, with everyone who was outside being soaked in the main! The trial started dry and quickly turned wet (very wet) and its a credit to you all for keeping going and getting to the finish, a massive thank you to you all, the amount of smiles by the riders and the thank you's given were much appreciated.

Stunning rides by the winner of both the A's and the B's, just  look at the results..... both Jack Price and Tom Hooper made the trial look far easier than it was and totally decimated their rivals..... As organisers we tried to put on a fair and in places tough trial, the weather turned it into a tough trial everywhere and although I say it again, very very well done to all finishers...

Many thanks to the landowners for the use of what we believe to be a great venue, the field wasnt too bad at the end, thank you for parking sensibly and not making too much mess, thanks to the owner of the plastic bag left in the start field, you may think organisers are two a penny and should do everything without question... which we kinda try to do! but one thing we certainly arent there for is to clean your "Sh1t" up! Thanks.... why we ordered two toilets im not sure!

Moving on like to thank the people who helped set out, Bing, Ian Oldcorn, Robert & Wilf Shuttleworth, Gary Kitching, Will Brockbank and also to all the girls helping in the start area, especially the young ones, Ursula & Kim Brown and Holly Bingley, they did a fantastic job and were all soaked but still smiling.... thanks to Mick Wren who acted as steward and did a sterling job in the caravan doing the results and also keeping all the female helpers full of smiles and laughs... thanks also to the ACU and the National Steward over the weekend, John Radliffe.

A fantastic job was done by all in very demanding weather conditions, we kept the event going both days and both tials ran to the schedule, this could only of been done with the hard work of many helpers.

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us and to wish you well for the rest of the championship, hopefully we can book some sun and see you all again sometime soon......

thanks to one and all....

cheers,
