Stafford Auto Tolfree Trial 1st June

Reminder for our trial on Saturday 1st June at 2pm.

Hoping to see a good turnout of  Pre65 and twinshock bikes this year. Sections will be ideal for riders of all abilities. There will be three routes, hard, medium, easy, but a 4th route will be availble as a 50/50 route between the easy and medium routes.

The easy / novice route will have nothing too demanding but still offer a reasonable challenge for riders of that standard. A harder medium route for more confident Pre65 and twinshock riders will provide a good challenge with open flowing sections and nothing that requires a hinged bike. Climbs, cambers, stream, banks, roots - some big climbs if the weather is kind... A 50/50 route will run between the easy and medium routes for riders whose abilities sit somewhere between the two. So there is a route suitable for you and your Pre65 or twinshock.

Modern bikes, aircooled monos or whatever are also welcome and the above two routes plus the 50/50 will cater for novices through to clubman standard riders.

In addition, there will be our usual harder route for modern club riders of intermediate or expert standard.

So, something for all standard of rider and bike but if you have a Pre65 or twinshock in the shed, leave the modern bike at home and bring that instead as we'd really like to get the numbers of older bikes back up to the level we used to have a few years ago.

The Tolfree Cup, named after Bert, our longest serving member who sadly passed away in February, is awarded to the best Pre65 performance on the medium route

A free barbecue to finish, although small donations are welcome to help with the cost and anyone is welcome to bring something of their own to cook if they wish

So, dig out your Pre65 or twinshock and come and have a ride. Full details on the Calendar..
