Land that has not seen a trials bike for at least 15 years features prominently when the Westmorland Club hold the Astley trial, round seven of the ACU S3 Parts Championship which will be held on Sunday, July 13.
The land in question is at Kentmere in the beautiful Lake District, which can be found about half way between Kendal and Windermere to the north of Staveley, in itself, an attractive tourist attraction of the area. The actual start location is Waterford Bridge, Kentmere, LA8 9JJ
Westmorland have a single, 20 mile lap of 35 sections planned, and they can guarantee that none of the potential riders will have tackled any of the sections unless they were active in the area in the mid 'nineties. So this is a rare chance to ride a totally new trial route in this popular series.
