It was the local Manchester 17 MCC ‘Dave Rowland’ National Trial near GGHQ and the surrounding Peak District. We had two of our top Team Riders riding with No.1 JSTGGUK rider Michael Brown who is not a National regular rider but needed to give his new Replica model a ride out before next weekends Belgium WTC.
Michael was second, beaten (by a most cleans tiebreak) by his JST Team mate and National rider specialist Dan Thorpe who was also armed with a new Replica model machine. It was good to see that out of the 13 National Class riders, 7 of which were GG riders. Thanks to Kev for prepping Michaels and Dans bikes.
JSTGGUK rider Sam Haslam was also out in action straight back from his hols and into a local centre championship trial which he won also on his new Replica machine.
Over the water the JSTGGUK Youth ‘Peace’ Brothers were in action on Saturday and Sunday at rounds 3 and 4 of the 2014 Youth European Trials Championship which does not get the recognition it deserves by anyone, manufacturers and Press included. These families are spending a fortune competing at these events and it seems that nobody cares!
Anyway the good news is that Dan Peace won both days! And his younger brother Jack was 6th and 8th so well done to you both!
WTC Belgium this weekend for Michael and Alexz and also WTC for the women. On top of that there is also the S3 Westmoorland and Allan Jefferies National Trial
