The fourth trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place today where 52 riders tackled 4 laps of 10 sections on a long lap of Ketton Quarry. Conditions were ideal with rain the day before keeping the dust down and enough cloud cover to prevent the quarry turning into a desert!
The winner of the trial was Rob Margetts who dropped 9 marks on his sherco with youth B rider Joe Collins just 2 marks behind him on 11. The best intermediate rider of the day was Guy Bradley who dropped 13 marks with Kieran McDaid the best Youth A on 49 marks dropped.
On the 50/50 route we had a tie for first place with Rob Mcelnea and Paul Wareing both dropping 11 marks, Rob came out top by way of furthest clean as he cleaned section 2 on the first lap where Paul had a dab.
On the middle route twin shock class rider Oliver Wareing stayed clean all day with Ross Mason coming in second on a single dab and winning the over 40 class. The best clubman today was Colin Ridgeway dropping 26 marks and Richard Spencer was best novice on 31 marks dropped.
On the White route Gary Skipworth was best adult rider after staying clean on marks all day with Joshua Skipworth winning the youth category on 4 marks dropped.
Big thanks to everyone who turned out today especially the observers. We hope to see you all on the 3rd August for our next trial at Stibbington.
