The team behind Loughborough Trials Club are busy putting the final plans in place for their big day of the year, although now it is two days! The Susan Harris Memorial trial in memory of one of the clubs (and the East Midland and Midland centres) keenest supporters who lost a brave fight against cancer has developed into a full weekend of fun and trials which this year is over the 16th and 17th of August.
Money raised (over £3000 so far) at the clubs annual event has helped cancer charities in the region and the club hopes that this year they will once again be able to add a substantial sum to that total. The trail will be run as a fun event on the Saturday evening with the more serious awards being given out on the Sunday (assuming not too much fun is had at the overnight camping and social event). With a 3:00 PM start on the Saturday and a 10:30 on Sunday it should suit everyone, and as always the club will be focused on Clubman friendly sections for the majority of the entry.
Section sponsors are still welcome and the Sunday will run over both Vickers Farm and Rileys Railway venues near Tilton on the Hill in Leicestershire with hopefully 20 sections two laps format.
Feedback over the last couple of years has been outstanding, a great event for a great cause in memory of a fantastic person, all riders welcome and all profits to good causes.
