British Youth C&D Championship

Harry H Harry T Bradley CalvertThe National D-Class Small Wheels championship will once again go down to the wire.  Buxton-based rider, Harry Turner held his nerve in Northumberland this weekend to take the win over friend and rival, Harry Hemingway.

The two riders have been swapping podium places all year.  It means it’s winner takes all at the crucial final round hosted by Richmond DMC at the end of the month.

Harry Turner’s dad, Paul, said: “I am incredibly proud of Harry.  He’s ridden superbly all year, has kept calm and enjoyed every round and the challenges each one has presented. ”

Dan Hemingway, Harry’s dad, added: “Hazza has enjoyed some incredible rides this season and has ridden at his best throughout the year.  The two Harry’s have literally been within one or two dabs of each other all year – it’s been incredibly close and impossible to call which of the boys will come out on top at the next round!”

Dominic Horne, Bradley Calvert and Bobby Moyer have put in some great performances throughout the championship with Dominic’s consistency set to secure the Yorkshire-lad third place overall.  After a run of solid results, Myles Hutchinson may take fourth – a great result given it’s his first year riding in D-Class and one to watch for sure!

OSET riders, George Hemingway and Alexander Horne are both emulating their older siblings as E-Class riders stepping up to ride with the older boys.  2014 was no doubt a big learning year for both the fearless youngsters who look to go from strength to strength.

Stefan Richardson, Connor Heathfield and Oscar Lace all demonstrated fantastic determination, attitude and resolve on their OSET bikes as they faced the challenging national-level sections.

Ian Smith, founder and CEO of OSET Bikes, said: “The British National D-Class small wheels class has been super competitive again this year.  To have so many riders from all over the UK is truly encouraging for the future of the sport.  As OSET looks set to secure the top six championship places, we’re delighted the OSET 20.0 has once again proved to be the most competitive small-wheel bike on the market.  We wish Harry H and Harry T the best of luck for the final round and are full of anticipation to see which of them will walk away with the title at Richmond.”
