Hull Auto Sir Arthur Atkinson Cup Trial

Here are the provisional results of Sir Arthur Atkinson Cup Trial held at the great venue of Hollins Farm, Rosedale Abbey, North Yorkshire yesterday.

Despite the varying severity of weather forecasts for the day, it remained dry until after the event, although rain during the week did make the sections a little more challenging than anticipated!

In an event where we had a great expert course, but no experts, presumably due to events elsewhere, the Sir Arthur Atkinson Cup was deservedly lifted by top Intermediate Peter Sharp only just beating an on form Shane Monkman by one dab!

Thanks to all observers and riders, some from well out of our centre, for supporting the event which we dedicate to the memory of Jim Carr, a lovely man and stalwart observer in our centre and beyond for over 30 years who died recently. Our thoughts go out to Tonia and family and I'm sure there will be a mammoth turn out at his funeral on Tuesday.

Two Rosedale landowners would like to thank Roy Jarvis for last minute bike repairs, Sam & Alan Dring's son James needed a last minute broken gear lever replacing, and Steph myer's son Mark Myers from 1/2 mile away in Thorgill, bike wouldn't start! Both lads were relieved when their bikes were operational for a Rosedale event!

We haven't decided whether we can run our next event on Sunday 15th October, but watch this space for news.
