Harry Turner and Dad ChrisHarry Turner in actionMacclesfield Trials Club held the first round of the 6t9 winter series near Bosley, Cheshire on Sunday and it was a cracker with great weather, a bumper entry of 102 riders and 10 excellent sections to tackle 4 times.

Hard route riders Sam Yeomans (Expert) and Daniel Slack (Y/A) clearly won their classes although Daniel dropped 10 of his 17 mark total on section 9 where Sam showed his class here only squandering 5. This was a new section with a climb strewn with sharp rocks and a tricky steep exit off at an angle. Y/B rider Harry Turner left all onlookers flabbergasted as he cleaned this hazard with ease on the first lap showing his rivals how it should be done. Corey Dubik managed a 2, all the rest failed on their first attempt.. Even Harry's Dad Paul was bowled over.

The 50/50 Intermediate class struggled with section 7, climbing and descending over slippy roots. Dingo Beddoes had the best ride dropping just 4 on this hazard. Gary Huxley came out tops overall with a convincing win.

Middle route rider Mark Timperley achieved the ultimate ride in this very popular class by going clean, and another ride of note was from Simon Butterworth dropping just 4. The easy route was well supported with A Stanley winning the cut from Will Tyler.
