chris pearson emBritain's own Chris Pearson will be competing in his first World Championship eventThe very first Class for electric bikes in a World Championship event will take place as part of the UK round of the 2016 FIM Trial World Championship at Tong, UK on the weekend of 16th & 17th July. Organisers have confirmed that “a World first Electric Powered Class will be included as part of this year’s event “ and we fully expect it to raise a few eyebrows.

French rider Bastien Hieyte has already completed the first 4 European rounds of this year’s wolrd championship on his Electric-Motion ‘Sport+’ model with surprising results and is keen to show the UK trials fans just what an Adult Electric Bike can do. Our own UK riders,  Chris Pearson  (Splat Shop) and Matthew Alpe (Inch Perfect Trials) will be competing at their first World trials event also riding Electric-Motion ‘Sport’ models.  Both riders are excited to be taking part in this ‘World First’ riding, what some believe to be, the future of our off-road sport. All three riders with compete on the Trial125 course and whilst there is not yet a specific World Championship for electric bikes, competitors will be recognised with their own podium presentation where Electric-Motion UK will be celebrating the event and presenting trophies to the podium finishers.

TRY 100% Electric for YOURSELF – Electric-Motion in association with ‘Inch Perfect Trials’ will be providing visitors to the trial with an opportunity to ride one of these amazing bikes in a designated ‘Try-Out Zone’ during the two days of the UK world Championship event.  (Contact us in advance, if you wish to reserve a slot as we are expecting a high demand for this opportunity, by e-mailing : This email address is being protected from spambots.
