WHY DOES THIS SCHEME EXIST?

There is a large cost involved in providing the levels of service and coverage we do. Becoming a Trials Central Supporter, although it's only a small amount, greatly helps meet those costs.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

It's almost embarrasing to say, but it costs just £10 per year or 83p per month or 2.7p per day. Although that might seem like an insignificant sum it really helps meet the costs of providing this site and the services we offer.


WHY AREN'T ALL THE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS FREE?

As the site has grown in popularity over the years we've had to upgrade to more powerful servers to provide a high quality service to our users. That web hosting itself incurs a cost, but the greater cost is in the amount of bandwidth we use i.e. the number and size of the files we transfer from our servers to our users. Our photo and video coverage (particularly video) of Trials events all over the world means if it were free for all the bandwidth costs would very quickly make Trials Central financially unviable. We've also had problems in the past with other websites stealing our content and publishing it without credit. By charging a small annual fee we can not only help meet our costs, but control our bandwidth usage and ensure it is genuine Trials enthusiasts accessing our content.

WHAT DO I GET?

You don't just get access to anything new from the time you sign up, but also access to our massive archive of coverage from past events. At the time of writing this, as a Trials Central Supporter, you have access to over 6GB of photo and video content that is not available to non-Supporters including British Championship, European Championship, Trial des Nations, Scottish Six Days Trial, Scott Trial and many other events from previous years. That content will naturally grow as we continue to cover many major events.

You are permitted to save Supporters photos and video to your computer for future viewing allowing you to build up an extensive collection. No other website or publication offers their users either the levels of coverage Trials Central does, or the ability to save and build a collection of photos and videos. Photos for Trials Central Supporters are presented in much higher quality and don't have the copyright logo on them. You are, however, not permitted to publish any Trials Central Supporters photo or video content on any website or in any publication without prior permission in writing.

ANY OTHER BENEFITS?

If you're a Trials Central Forum user then yes. You get a cool Trials Central Supporter badge under your username to show you're supporting the site. You also have up to 20MB of storage space on our servers that you can upload photos to and can store up to 200 personal messages compared to 10 for non-Supporters making it far easier to manage communication with other Trials Central users.

You also help us to re-invest in the sport. For three years now, we've put £1000 per year back into the Scottish Six Days Trial. In 2010, alongside our regular commitment to the SSDT we became main sponsor of the famous Scott Trial. we are committed to re-investing income from this website back into the sport of Trials so by becoming a supporter you are helping us to re-invest.
