Preparation is now in full swing for the British Round of the 2012 FIM World Trials Championship which will take place over the weekend 28th & 29th July at the fantastic and picturesque Nord Vue venue, just off the M6 between Penrith and Carlisle in Cumbria. The North England venue successfully hosted the British World Trial round in May 2009 when Toni Bou completed a memorable double victory and British Trials legend Dougie Lampkin achieved his final WTC podium.
Event organisers John Kerwin (Dirtbike Action Promoter) and Graham Jarvis (Multiple SSDT winner, former Top 5 WTC rider and more recently 'World Extreme Enduro Superstar) are delighted that the 2012 & 2013 British rounds of the WTC have now been secured at the Cumbrian venue overlooking the Eden Valley.
'We are delighted to confirm that we will be promoting another Two Day World Trial at Nord Vue in 2012. Days of work went into preparing the venue in 2009 and the trial proved to be a great success so we are confident that the experience and the significant maturing of the terrain will ensure that Nord Vue 2012 will be a real show stopper’ commented John Kerwin.
'With Great Britain hosting the final 2 rounds of the 2012 World Trials Championship it will be fantastic that UK Trials fans will witness an amazing weekend of top trials action and see the crowning of the Youth, Junior and 2012 World Champions. The course has improved with time and Graham will ensure that the riders will face a spectacular but fair challenge in July. We have some awesome sections planned and the viewing for fans will be second to none. We can’t wait for July and our only worry is that the Trial will overshadow the start of the Olympic Games!’
Despite the tough economic climate the Trial will again be sponsored by Cumbrian based Lloyd Motor Group. ’We are delighted to offer support to The 2012 World Trial…it’s great news for trials fans and we were delighted with the exposure we received in 2009’ said Gary Bingley, Lloyd Group Franchise Director. Yorkshire’s T.R.C Truck Rental & Rock Oil are providing further valuable support with details of further event partners to follow. In addition the event promoters are delighted that Mansfield’s Terry Crabtree has offered his services to co-ordinate the Trial observers and his assistance is greatly appreciated.
