We have received some calls asking whether the tr ial is still on tomorrow as apparently there is horrendous rain at the extr emities of our region. The trial is definitely on, w e have had some periods of rain during the week but the land has been very dry and today's weather is working out as per the BBC weather - scattered l ight rain at times, Please see BBC weather for YO62 which shows a very good day for tomorrow with very little chance of precipitation -hope it's not t oo hot!.

Hull Aut o Club – Farndale East side 2-lap OPEN charity Trial for The Jack Howden Tr ophy Trial in aid of the Farndale Village Hall Fund and other Farndale char ities.
This is the 2nd of our Farndale 2-lap charity trials, this tim
e on the opposite side of the valley from the one on 28th April and coverin
g more ground.
OPEN trial for all Adult & Youth A & B (no youth
C) solos (being members of Clubs affiliated to the ACU who hold a current
ACU Trial Registration Card / SACU License) with separate conducted route f
or Youth D & E beginners.
For insurance purposes, the ACU requires us to tighten up on licence checks, so remember to present your Violet 2019 t rials licence when entering; otherwise it’s an extra £3 for a One Event Tri als Registration
Again, because of the Charity aspect of the Trial, m
any land owners have allowed us to use or cross over their land for this on
e event and allowed gates to be fitted between properties so that the linke
d farms give 2 x 9 mile laps with around 20 varied sections with a great ri
de round all off road.
The course is in figure of eight form about th
e start field, so that topping up with fuel or drinks is easy.
There will also be a conducted trial for Youth D & E beginners on land adjacent t o the start field.
Hull Auto runs 4 routes, Expert, Intermediate, Clu bman A and Clubman B, twin-shocks ride Clubman B route. Unfortunately, ther e will be no white route at this venue.
At: Hill Houses, High Farndal e, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorks,YO62 7LH. Flagged from the Hutton le Hole to Castleton road, down Blakey Bank to Church Houses, then along to Hill Hous es.
Only use this way into Farndale. Please allow plenty of time to g et and entered for the 1030 start.
Any volunteers to observe would be appreciated –contact Jim Austermuhle (01751 417455) as soon as possible fo r planning purposes, some observers with bikes welcome, otherwise we organi se transport for observers to near the sections.
Observers need to be at the start field at around 09:30 so that we can organise dispersal and t ransport if necessary to the sections
Members of the village hall com mittee will again be selling their delicious butties and hot drinks after t he event. All observers/helpers will receive a free voucher for the above.< /p>
