Royal Enfield Crusader unmodified frame and swinging arm. Probably the lightest and best steering genuine Pre-65 trials frame. The ideal frame for a Trifield powered by a Triumph 350/500 unit construction engine.

The frame is from a Crusader road bike. There is no V5 but the original frame number is still legible. The Royal Enfield Owners Club operate a dating service which is recognised by the DVLA should someone want to register a completed bike for the road. Unused for some time it would benefit from lightly shotblasting to remove the old paint and light rust before starting any mods for trials use.

The swinging arm is the desirable late model type which readily accepts a 4.00 tyre. Bought as NOS some time ago the paint has suffered but the Silentbloc swinging arm bushes look good. The slot for the brake plate torque pin is as it should be, on many used arms this slot is badly damaged. The swinging arm is straight and untwisted.

There is no swinging arm spindle and nuts but for someone wanting to use original design parts these are readily available new from Hitchcocks.
