I'd check plug colour, timing and carburation.

  4. Maybe he means the weight bias is wrong front to rear, maybe he means the bike plows instead of going where you point it, maybe he means he stopped in the middle of a 2 day event, put a for sale sign on said bike and sold it! Never happier. Oh, I forgot the TRS stalls easier than any bike I have ever seen. And it`s not just me, I see it while scoring all the time. Some people really like this machine, worst thing I really wanted to buy a GOLD! Instead I have a really trick 301 Montesa.

Does anyone know if the 349 Cota has spacers between seat tank and exhaust.my bike the seatgets so hot lying on exhaust that it cannot be ridden.we received the bike as a basket case .thanks for any help anyone can give
  8. Genuine OKOs available from mid-atlantictrials.com They do a bike-specific set up on each carb, I've found them very good on price and service, ship to UK no problem. One of their OKOs transformed my bike.
  9. That's a first, never heard of anybody complain about a motorcycle being too light before.
  10. Well made, easy to work on. Easiest starting bike. Was no need for the push button. Good tough plastics. All the right components. The bad. Just a tad too small of fuel capacity. They have always had water pump seal issues. And the front end is too light.
  11. So good I bought a second one 👍 electric start is expensive to maintain and doesn't work well in sub-zero temps, otherwise the bikes are awesome and better built then GasGas imo.
  12. All of those electric components can be meter or scope tested to determine if replacement is required. ... I always start trouble-shooting electrics from the power source and work down stream (garbage in garbage out) you are doing it in reverse. Alternator produces the electricity so you should always start there.
  13. You should be able to get the coils rewound rather than getting a replacement. If you can find a manual I would think also they would have some resistance values stated, once you warmed it up you could check these values against what you are getting to confirm it is the stator.
  14. I had a Mikuni for my Bultaco from Motocarb Motocarb - Home not sure if genuine OKO are still available.
  15. Do they have any issue related to reliability ?
  16. Very good bikes .... til now 4 TRRS , one rr , and 3 Golds !!!
  17. I've ridden a 2022 300 TRS One RR recently while getting it running well for a friend. Yes they are very well-made. It had lots of mumbo on tap. The handling, brakes, suspension and steering are excellent. Initially the footpegs felt further forwards than what I am accustomed to but the feeling went away after a few minutes riding.
  18. Cheers kurtas. I have changed the ht coil and changed the spark lead/cable So this is why I'm thinking to try the stator/magneto next. Just struggling to find one at the moment and not sure if other models will fit the 09 250
  19. Hello all, im looking for a pair of TY250 A or B twinshock forks, does anyone have any for sale? (UK) thanks
  20. Good Day all, At the end of March I bought a TRS One RR 300 cc - 2023 new. I got a very good deal and visually it looks very well finished compared to the Vertigo ( Finish close to the GasGas ). I did not ride it yet as I am abroad fro business. Will be back this week and hopefully ride it in the week end. What are your thoughts / experiences on this bike, please? Thanks! Kasty

  22. Hi so I'm after a back mudguard for a 2008 beta. Anyone got any please. Cheers
  23. Hi so I'm looking for a back mudguard for a 2008 beta.? Any one got anything
  24. I would be looking at the HT coil (In my opinion most likely) and then the stator/magneto. Also worth giving the spark plug lead a bit of a jiggle to see if that is the cause. A small amount of corrosion may not be a huge issue on the stator.
  25. Had another look at this again tonight and found some corrosion on the Magento. Would this be the cause of the problem? If so where's can I get one from guys?
  26. Hello, thanks for coming back about this. so, looking at the pictures, you have left hand gear lever , right hand brake lever. Am I right in seeing that the lever/pivot with the rod end fitted , is on the underside of the crossover shaft when fitted to the frame ? So when you press the brake pedal the lever will push the brake rod backwards ? And therefore push the lever on the brake plate backwards as well ? Which is the opposite way to how the original system works ? (But would still operate the brake, but with the rod in compression, rather than the usual way of the rod in tension when in use) Have I got that right , or completely wrong ? have I misunderstood how it works .
  27. Evening. I'm Kevin and new to the forum. Quite long in the tooth now but enjoy getting out on my KTM on the local lanes around Llangollen. Having always fancied a trails bike, especially in my youth when funds were too tight, its now or never. Heart is saying a TY175 or Fantic ( could never afford one when they were new), head says something modern for the reliability?. There is a pay per day wooded area near me so that would be a good place to start and hopefully try some easy events - twin shock event for newbies could scratch an itch and improve my laning skills to boot? Whatever I buy, I'm hoping to buy from a fellow enthusiast and not from bay of e etc. Look forward to your advice. Kev
  28. So, I did Novice but would like to do amateur next time. I feel that would be my challenge there. Anyhow, the issue I am running into with RMTA is they are on Sat and Sun. To me it felt like more like a competitve supportive practice event, which I think why I fell in love with it. Sat and Sun are tough for me due to work, so wondering if there is another competition/event that holds on weekdays? or psosibly large get-together for all skill levels?
