Hey, new here and have no advice, don't even have a bike yet but saving up for a Mecatecno! Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Saw your bike on instagram or somewhere, stunning, much less garish than the standard one haha.
Going to be a learning curve but I've grown up doing bicycle trials and mountain biking so hoping my understanding of balance and body positioning will help me out...
Heath (R2W Trials) offered me a go on his after I expressed an interest in getting back into it. After an hour on it, I didn't want to give it back! The power delivery is so smooth, it grips like nothing I have ever ridden. And the light weight was very noticable. It has a clutch but I didn't ride with it, just rode on the throttle. It has 4 different maps which equate to roughly 80cc/125cc/250cc/300cc - You will be able to change these via an app in the future. The top one, with the lightness of the bike, is an animal. Way too powerful for what I ride. So I rode most of the stuff I do ( Yellow route) on the 125cc setting. Plenty of power even at that level.
So i decided to buy one 😁 The one in the picture is a custom option, with lightweight parts and red anodised components. it also has the upgraded battery. It wasnt cheap to this spec, but I seriously love it.
I rode with some mates for a day where I rode for about 4 hours. I had 62% left on the battery so that cost about 82p 🤑
Electric is definitely the best thing for trials - little noise - no stalling - easy to ride - multiple different power levels at a flick of a switch - lightweight and easy to maintain. What isnt there to love about them
Facebook is the go to place, all your local Trials club will have FB pages, where they advertise their Trials events and upload entry forms/results and pics nowadays
Well I have started riding trials again as I've recently bought a Mecatecno Dragonfly (what a machine !), so I want to start riding trials again but I wondered what is the best way to find out what is on? Ive looked at the ACU.sport80 site and I have looked on here, but when I talk to some other trials people, they mention trials in clubs that I dont see posted on these sites.
I live in the Telford area and looking for a 50 mile radius. Any tips where I can get info ( I'm currently a member of South Shropshire and Llangollen Trials clubs)
A mum is cleaning her 12yr old sons bedroom and finds a load of bondage gear and fetish magazines under his bed..
She asks her husband "What do I do? "
He says, " I'm not sure but what ever you do, don't spank him!"
A very sad day today After seven years of medical training and hard work, a very good friend of mine has been struck off after ONE minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients and can now no longer work in his profession ! What a waste of time, effort, training and money.!

A genuinely nice guy and a brilliant mortician ..
If you get cold, stand in the corner for a bit as they are usually about 90 degrees
Two guys stole a calendar .. they both got 6 months each..
This 80 year old guy was sitting by the kerbside and crying his eyes out when this young guy came up to him and said, " Why are you crying?"
He said, " I married a young lady and in the morning when we wake up, we have sex.. at 11 am she wants it again, and at 2 pm. 5pm and just before we go to sleep at 10pm too.. "
The young guy says, " Wow, that sounds amazing . so why are you crying? "
The old guy says, " Because I've forgotten where I f*****g live "
This old trials rider wanted a brand new pair of Trials boots, so when he was at the World rounds, he saw some for sale and bought them right there and then.
When he got them home, he tried them on and walked into the kitchen and said to his wife, " Hey Maureen, Notice anything different about me?
She said "Nope !"
So he stormed off to the bedroom , got completely naked except for his new boots, then walked back into the kitchen and said " Maureen, notice anything different NOW? "
She said, "Kevin, what's different? It's hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday and it'll be hanging down again tomorrow !"
So Kevin yells at her.. " AND DO YOU KNOW WHY ITS HANGING DOWN?? IT'S LOOKING AT MY NEW FECKING BOOTS !"
Maureen pauses for a moment and says, " Really ? .....Should have bought a new Helmet "
A wife went in to see a therapist and said, "I've got a big problem, doctor.....Every time we're in bed and my husband climaxes, he lets out this ear splitting yell."
"My dear," the doctor said, "that's completely natural. I don't see what the problem is."
...I am totally convinced that there are too many bikes from too many brands for them all to survive
but that's another discussion altogether ...
Regarding the TRS, for sometime now, people have been saying they want a 'Clubmans' bike. A bike that is easy to work on, performs well, rides well and is of a decent quality. Jordi Tarres has recognised that and with his meticulous attention to detail and quality, he has produced the TRS One which is all those things. It can certainly perform at the highest level as it beat Toni Bou on it's first outing and that is impressive in anyone's book !
Yes time will tell regarding sales but I suspect it will do well
Lets not get carried away this is a brand new bike, the brakes should be good, but 5 into 6 doesnt go, for 95% of the time its fine but 6 is always better? so please gush all you want but dont stretch the truth too far.
You are going to have to get use to people gushing over it I'm afraid because it is that good ! oh, and my last 2 bikes were 300 Gassers and I never noticed any benefit in having a 6 speed gearbox which you seem to be making a big issue about. As Steve says, it's designed by a rider and lets face it, Jordi Tarres isn't just any rider is he?
I have just been fortunate enough to spend an entire day riding the new TRS One. The only bike so far here in Canada. I have ridden all kinds of bikes and my last bike was a GG Racing 300. I hope I can bring an objective review of what I saw and felt riding it. First off, the build quality is exceptional. Lots of little things make me think that a RIDER had a lot to do with the design ( Thank you Jordi). The feel to ride the bike is that its very light. The riding position is absolutely perfect. I am 6ft tall and cant remember the last bike I had that I felt so perfect on..... The center of gravity seems very low and I found the bike very easy to balance and to move the rear wheel around. As far as the overall handling of the bike, it was so good and made me feel confident, and tracked so well and incredibly stable. I attribute this to the aluminum frame and rear suspension linkage design. I am a big fan of aluminum framed bikes and this tiny rigid frame I love. The clutch feel is very good and by far the best clutch I have ever had on any bike I have ridden. Beta, Sherco, GG.
I don't know what they have done with the brakes as they look to be standard, but they are incredibly strong, and this was noticed by everyone who rode it. Everything just seems to be in the right position and very comfortable to ride. It grips incredibly well. The transmission is for me a lot better than the GG in the way it shifts. NO big crunch going into fourth gear, and it shifts with a definite and nice clicking motion. The ratios are absolutely perfect, and I was skeptical about the 5 speed as I am not a fan from riding Shercos. The TRS ratios are perfect, with 1st through 4th all evenly spaced and usable in sections, with 5th being your road gear/
Overall the feel of the bike was familiar but even better than I had expected. I loved it and cant wait to get mine
Apologies if this has already been posted but I just came across this online mag which is a good read called On The Pegs - Great articles on all the new bikes
