  1. You may be able to get away with just cleaning the front brake caliper. Remember that the only things to clean the square section o-rings and pistons are fairy liquid with water ( cold ) and/or brake fluid. Be careful not to lose the wee o-ring between the two caliper halves. You will need to take care that the square section o-rings are seated properly in the caliper before re-installing the pistons and be careful you put the pistons back in true to the caliper bore. GOOD LUCK.

  2. Is this situation happening with the bike running ?   If it happens when the bike is not running then this is not normal. If it is happening when the bike is running, this is common for a lot of bikes regardless of brand. You will find it may be easier to find neutral if the clutch lever is pulled all the way to the handlebar when you try to select neutral.

  3. The mixture screw should be between  1 turn out and 2.5 turns out. Your fuel oil mix is somewhere close @ 1.5%  ( 66.67 to 1 )

A lot of people have good results @ 1.25% oil to fuel mix ( 80 to 1 )

  4. Older bikes that have not had their exhaust repacked can have this problem. The exhaust packing gets oil soaked and loses both it's sound suppression quality but also it's thermal quality. I believe on this model Sherco that the exhaust was not made to be easily repacked. It is possible to cut the exhaust open and repack but it is a messy job. Good luck.

  5. You said that several plugs were tried, were they new spark plugs ? Try again with a new plug gapped to approx. 0.40mm  If there is no spark then try the easy things first, wiring connections, spark plug cap and re-check all chassis and engine grounds with a meter. Good luck.

  6. The first thing( cheapest tp try ) I would do is put in a new NGK plug gapped @ 0.45mm  this smaller gap will lessen the load on the ignition.Maybe check your chassis earth this will only take a couple of minutes to clean up.

If that does not work I think the next easiest thing to try is swapping out the HT coil / cdi box.
