Have you dated the bike properly - use the frame numbers .Yamaha YBR125 engine will slot straight into frame - add a 150 conversion . Works just fine . I know I’ve done it a few times ,
Hi there , if you’re looking for any bike spares/bits - I’d recommend scorpasalive on eBay . I’ve dealt with Tony for years - very helpful. He only breaks Sy250’s .
He was the importer and May still have spares - a very helpful guy , he’ll be a bit tired this week coming - he just finished the SSDT 69 years young 👍
Hi spooky , I had a hip replacement 10 years ago - ridden the last 9 of them in trials - albeit at a “b” route level ( omitting certain sections ). I’m now 69 and intending to continue - Dumfries trials are great as are Dalmellington trials . Most clubs cater for old farts like me 😀
most of the issues are in your own head ( lack of confidence ,etc ) .it will take you a while to get bike fit ( recommend cycling is good way to strengthen legs , at our age )..
Ride what you feel comfortable with at all times and have fun - we ain’t going to win any trials
As someone who falls ( no pun intended ) into this category, there is a lot of sense in this article . However , joint damage over many years abusing one’s body , can cause issues with the indicated exercises . Thai chi is a good solution .
Cycling outdoors is a good way of maintaining lower body strength ( not necessarily total off road - gravel / track riding ) does help whilst keeping the loads on lower joints acceptable ( relatively pain free ) .
That’s my two penny worth ,
You need to split the crankcases to access the gears - its an interesting task - use a parts manual to locate how components go together - use the t&mx build sequence - good luck
What motors fit a Scorpa TY 175 4 stroke?
