  1. our TX270 gets about an hour and a half engine time out of a gallon sorry, we ride with hour meters not speedos but you could simply mount a bicycle speedo to your front wheel the first series Pampera and the 97- EC models came with a Sigma stock our seats hold with one center bolt and zip ties in the back zip ties, because if you rip the fender upward the zip ties breake before you harm the fender, then you can grab another zip tie from your bar pad and re-fasten your fender

    Chain Tensioner

I simply used 3 zip ties and cut them when the spanner was mounted

    Ez Up Shelters

got my ezup about 10 years ago the 10x20 with walls for a fortune used to do race service and lived under that roof 35-40 weekends a year once a storm tore it of its anchers and blow it over my van, had to remove 2 of the legs to fold it up, chopped the bent parts, welded some and was ready to go again some other time a storm tore the top off and I had to do some sewing it stayed when we moved to the states, now a friend uses it and it still works a smooth as ever I saw a lot of cheap knock offs get torn to shreds, bent, taken down just in time for the storm ... they never lasted

    Sy 250f

not quite understand? can only have been a few years, they did not make a WR250F until 03 a pig to start? the button so hard to push? obviously 2nd cam? after 'many years' you do not know for sure? btw the engine Scorpa uses derives from the YZf not the WRf ever thought about different shape air canals, smaller valves, other shape cam, a lot smaller carb, different shape headpipe ... sorry but I feel better now
  5. Welcome Tryalman I truely envy you for the Speedy

    1997 270 Jtx

we just recently did fork seals on a 98 which still is the same fork (I guess) we did "50mm from the top" which was about 340ccm (not sure about that any more, but one quart was more than enough for both legs)

96 and 97 should be the same http://www.gasgas.com/Pages/Technical/fork-seals.html
  9. I do trails on a TX270 and 2.9 the stock gearing is tall enough for our trails, we frequently ride at a mountain bike place the trails are pretty tight, lot's of switchbacks, steps, rocks, ... 3rd/4th gear is plenty I do not even try to go as fast as possible on the main trails when I ride the CRF450, a trained ape can go fast on a straight

    Rear Shock Tx270

all the shocks I dealt with so far had quare notches on the adjuster and on the lock nut - easy to adjust with the correct tool or even a punch this $#@% shock has segment notches how do I adjust it, please?
  11. please don't let me die curious ... what do you need a video of kickstarting for?
  12. I did must have been in 84 or 85 the German Importer had a whole bunch little green monsters and that one red beauty and a hundred Suzukis and Yamahas, because he needed something to sell, too you did stir up some memories ...
  13. am on the right path already, but Ryan Young is a bit too advanced? he spends 5 minutes on basic turning guess it'll be a while to suppress the impulse to slide down-forward and get that leg out in a turn or to keep that outside knee from pushing the bike down ... all the things I practiced over and over to turn them into a reflex I promise to be patient and do basic drills until I throw up hit up a few events if possible is that mandatory, Half a tire Right? 5 years ago I swore no more competiton and only got talked into one since
  14. thanks for the invite, L'Oste what is an ex-pat, please?
  15. thanks for the reassurement, guys didn't want to kill my new toy right away and compared to the bikes w/seat trials seem to be so tiny and fragile wide open is boring on most bikes so I stay away from that and even on a bike w/seat I stand most of the time let me add to the original question do you think riding (an occassional) harescramble (ultra tight stuff) is OK for my poor little engine?
