  6. From reading that I should be using dexron3 thanks
  7. I went to change my gearbox oil and noticed I’d bought dexron2 atf mineral, Is there a difference between dexron2 or dexron2 mineral or is it all mineral oil. I’m just wary it knackers the seals. Many thanks in advance folks
  8. Cheers Bilko,I thought that to,but when you look at the front mounting it’s right on the collar. Both of them have it in the right place. The difference seems to be the hump where the rear/top mounting is,the squarish pad coming out is stopping it from going in and the rear box sits at a different angle,I had a look at the parts list for different years and can’t find one like mine. It’s got me stumped. I think I’ll resort to some old fashioned fettling with a 2lb ball pein hammer?
  9. Can some body tell me what’s going on with my bike. The frame no tells me it’s a 2001 txt 280,but I broke the middle exhaust box and ordered one using the part no from gasgas,it’s different from mine tho the one that came looks the same as the parts diagram and won’t fit. I’ve attached a photo, mine’s obviously is the dirty one.
  10. I feel a bit of a **** now, seemingly it’s made of steel and can be arc welded as my local welders sorted it today. Whoopee back up the woods at the weekend?
  11. Sorry should have mentioned it’s a 2001 gasgas txt 280
  12. Hi guys,I fell off again and this time broke the welded plate on my middle exhaust box,I took it to a local welding firm who tried to aluminium weld it, it wouldn’t take. So can anyone please advise what type of welding I need for this or if it’s possible. It looks as if it had been done before as there was splatter and burn holes, cheers guys
  13. Hi folks, after 30 years and nearing 60,I have decided to get a bike again. I have never rode a trial bike before but thinking this was the safest option over road and motocross,i took the plunge and bought a 2001 gasgas txt 280.i am still trying to find my balance and lose my sanity. Is there anywhere close at hand to ride legally, cheers
