  3. hiya i live in east lothian scotland i was wondering if there is any trials clubs or any groups that meet up in my neck of the woods that i could maybe join or tag on with as i am a wee bit fed up riding on my own and with my own usual routes . any new company would be much apreciated cheers alan

HI there. I live in Leith and have a TY175 twinshock. I have been in touch with the Lanarkshire Motor Cycle Club and they run Trials events all year round. They are up at Killen this weekend and the next again weekend they are at Penicuik. I'm going up for a look at Penicuik to see what is involved. I think this is our closest club - and if you search on google you will find their website. You will obviusly need transport to get your bike to these events. If you find anything closer let me know. Where about in east lohian do you go.

    William.

hi william penicuik looks promising is it a competition that will need a ACU license as ive not got one i live in musselburgh and i go to bits and pieces round about where i stay its ok but its not great would be nice to have a go at something more challenging though thanks alan

  6. You'll need alot of patience,it can take awhile. I use a snug fit chunk a vaccum line on the bleeder nipple fed into a a small jar of fluid, keep the resivor up and crack the bleeder loose, and slowly push on the lever,(short strokes) til satisfied the system is free of any air bubbles or water.

Make sure to use dot4 and not to let the level drop down to far in the resivor,or you'll have to start over.Tighten the bleeder and go putt putt with light pumps to the lever, just about the time you get ready to scream in anger it comes back. My first time took about 4 angry hrs. ;)

hiya i sussed a good way to bleed my back brake on my94 techno. take all the adjustment off the master cylynder get a syringe fill it with brake fluid remove the hose from the resevoir connect the syringe to it then loosen off the bleed nipple and pump fluid through until all the air is removed tighten bleed nipple and commect hose and that should be it

  7. I don't think this is your problem, but you might check it. When your floats go up all the way do they shut of the fuel flow. How long has it done this, what was the last thing you changed? How rich is your oil, 100 to 1 or 80 to 1?

hiya yes the floats shut off the fuel ok its done this since i got it about 4 months ago but its costing a fortune in plugs oil mixture is 70 to 1 last thing i changed was the crankshaft oil seals as i thought it might be sucking gearbox oil through them but it made no difference cheers alan

  8. Hi, I have a 1994 Beta Techno, the bike runs great, starts first kick but I am having loads of problems with it fouling a new spark plug after about 2 hours riding. The plug is very black and sooty when removed. I am running a BP5ES plug 70,1 fuel mix, i have replaced crank shaft oil seals, air filter spotless mixture screw 2 turns out Does anyone have any ideas as I am at my wits end with it. Thanks Alan also meant to say its got a delorotto carb a cf 262 main jet and a 65 pilot and the bolt holding the float bowl has a 88 jet in it (not sure what that jet in the bolt does as ive never came across it before can anyone help)
