That picture looks very similar to a bike owned by a friend of mine in the Sheffield area about 9 years ago except his was a 360 version - used a pursang piston as i remember - it was a six speed with a box section swinging arm and the airbox was as shown above, from what i remember of riding it, it gripped far better than a standard bike and the power delivery was very very soft.

There was a later bike done for John Reynolds which had the pivot moved even further up. On this bike it looked as though the pivot went through the rear of the cases but the swingarm was actually bolted to the side plates either side so there was no spindle. Don't think there is any room in the cases to allow a pivot to pass through, without reworking the internals that is.
