Loose Front Disc?

Guys, was out riding over the weekend and noticed a rattling noise coming from somewhere...

Upon further inspection I found it to be the front disc was vibrating as it has a little play.

Thought that this couldn't be right - so checked all the bolts and found that they were all tight.

So - took it all apart and cleaned it all up so that everything looked as good as new, put it back together again, and it was still loose!

So my question is - is the front disc suposed to have a certain amount of play?

Thanks - Boner.

i hate rattles

there should be play in the front disc

i silicon around the cups of the disc

stops the rattles and doesn't affect the braking performance
