chunkies Posted October 30, 2008 Report Share Posted October 30, 2008 I am wanting to get my son a beta 50 or gas gas 50 (with gears) He is 8 years old and about 4`2 so i take it this would be a good starting bike. As for how much i am going to spend really just does depend on whats available and in what condition. I live in N.Ireland. If anyone can help i would really appreciate it.. tomsdad Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 Beta 80, no contest. Brilliant bikes and perfect for a lad of his size. We've had two of them and despite my sons best efforts, when I sold them they still had plenty of life left in them. For trials run under the ACU rules, youth riders can not ride a 125 untill they are 11/12 years old. For youth C class 2009 (born 1997, 1998, 1999) 80cc is the max they can ride.
