Just removed crankcase of MH349 to see damage of crank,

The end of crank has been all chewed up (See pics) Now the bike is just a field bike at moment and it ran o.k but what will happen if i continue to run the bike like this? I know i shouldnt but at the moment i can't track a crank down and its a budget bike for messing around on whilst i get more time/money to sort it out properly or upgrade to another bike

Hard to see whats going on there with that end on view. Has the end of the crank been cut off? Don't see a centre hole there now.

I expect sometime in the distant past someone has tried to get the pinion off, and they are incredibly difficult to remove, and mangled it in the process. Was there a nut on the crank that side?

How long have you been riding it ?.

Did you strip it because something broke?

If the answer is it was running fine and you cant see any broken bits in the cases, and it is a buget bike put it back together and dont woory till it does break.

That is probably what the last guy did, hence no bits in the cases.
