vesty won on the Bultaco so thats good enough for me, but the SWM that came after maybe had the edge at the top level? Burgat at his best took some beating, then came the monoshocks. I believe that setting them up and getting them running sweet is no mean achievement though wheras a sorted 'taco is easy to do.

My totally biased opinion obviously - SWM 320

PROS- grips better than anything i have ridden (i have ridden many bikes)

very well built, very reliable , tons of torquey usable power -but not too powerful

parts still readily available

CONS- a bit heavy than some , but this helps with the grip

this is obviously going to get some replies!! but its my opinion! everybody has their

favorite/opinion. ;)

The best Twinshock models from the large scale production manufacturers are the bikes which cost the most money to buy now, which brings it back to: Honda, Fantic, and then Yam, SWM, Bultaco......But for me its the Fantic 240

Got to agree with you, dont remember it being to heavy, 280 was the best engine. Had to run it a bit rich to get it to grip.

You've been Brainwashed by Lee Harris.

Anyone will tell you it's the Fantic 200.

I never said the 240 was the best twinshock ever made.....

the best twinshock that was never made is my 340....
