There were a few probs, rear hubs and bearing too small lead to bearing collapse, swingarms broken even a few frames broken. Not lots of frames but there were breakages, also swingarms but real prob was the hub and rear bearings not good

The factory does replace all of the above so if you have problems will be sorted

2010 sorted im told

Hi there

Just purchased a lovely 09 Evo 250 and have just noticed a nasty chunk missing out of the edge ofthe rear wheel hub. The bit missing is approx the size of a thumb nail and exposes some (but not all) of the right hand side wheel bearing.

Is this something I should be concerned about or shall I just closley monitor the situation?

Any help/advice offered here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How will you closely monitor it when you are wide open in 6th across a field between sections?

Mechanics Rule No. 26. An item that needs renewing, if not renewed at the earliest opportunity, will fail when furthest from home/assistance/tools and in failing will cause other undamaged parts to fail.

The resulting repair will cost twice as much.

To sum up, a stitch in time saves nine. (readers of the playstation generation consult parents)

Trip to A&E optional.
