Falcon Shocks Rebuild

I have just noticed the Falcons on my TLR 200 are weeping. I am toying with a rebuild (by Falcon) or replacement with a new pair. There is about a

By the time you add on any unforseen parts which (usually) are required i.e. damper rods & other internals, you probably would be better off with a new set in my experience.

i used to rebuild mine and still have a box in the shed with some new seals. They are easy enough to do and its usually just the seals. If you are sure the rods are straight i'd have a go.

(don't mean the gassed ones of course)

so if you sent a tatty looking pair,other than an internal refub,and not leaking, you got a tatty looking pair back ?

Thanks, they're not too bad. But to be honest I'm not too bothered what they look like as long as they do the job well, a bit like the rest of the bike.

Had mine rebuilt no probs by robin. Still look tatty as above...

all points have been covered here...although I thought the difference was more than 50 quid.

Have rebuilt mine a few times and have got the seals from local bearing supplier. 2.5 or 5 wt shock oil and you will need a mountain bike shock pump (
