Having read the press releases about the Red Bull F1 prize, I am surprised we haven't seen who won.

It stated that it was the best score over 2 laps on sections 9,10,11 and 12 by a British rider in the junior and youth classes.

By my calculations the winner is Jonathan Richardson.

Anybody heard anything?

Yes Dabster, all 4 sections were the same for the juniors and the youths. I wonder if he was presented with the award before the trial even started?????

Jack Challoner won last year but could not attend as he is backed by Relentless so his dad and sister went.

All sounds a bit of a scam to me and after all the hype before it seems as it is being played down as it has been incorrectly awarded.

Without prejudice

We have kindly noted the above comments and can explain as follows.

The presentation of the award immediately after the event was made according to the information provided by an independent and appointed third party and thus was something we never questioned until certain allegations were brought to our attention.

Having now investigated this situation, it would appear that the information provided at that time related only to the Youth class and not the Junior and Youth classes as was originally requested.

Hence we can conclude that the award was presented to the incorrect rider. This situation will now be rectified, with all relevant parties being informed in due course and the award being re-allocated to the correct and deserved rider.

We unreservedly apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

We strongly refute any claims that suggest that this was anything other than a genuine error, and thus we will act upon any comments that we believe to be malicious or defamatory, and ask that any such comments that have been made already are retracted immediately to prevent the need for any further action. For the avoidance of doubt we are fully aware of the true identities of the individuals involved in making such remarks.

Furthermore it should be noted that G2F, G2F Media Ltd and L+M Events UK Ltd are three individual companies that operate and trade independent of each other. In all cases, reputation and integrity is core to each business and thus this is something that we will continue protect at all times.
