Interesting - why does a film company buy a trials bike then convert it to look like a tatty old trail bike when they could have just had the tatty trail bike (and for tuppence, so to speak).

Because a tatty trail bike wouldn't do the tricks and stunts the stuntman wanted do in the film. So they needed a reliable brilliant bike to do it and bought a couple of Mont 4RT's ;0).

I thought the stuntman was Jean Pierre Goy but it seems it was Rob Herring (http://www.visordown...ring/14119.html) and he says he used a CRF450.

Dunno :wacko:

If I remember correctly a Montesa 4RT was used for the "Splatter" in the movie Quantum of Solice. Shortly after the splatter there is a "boat jump" where he lands on a boat. I think that is where he is saying they used the CRF450.
