I was in the UK when she did that. I enjoyed that bottle of milk and hated her for taking it away.

Hate...milk? now we're talking politics and psychological scars that run deep :P ...have you all forgotten the state of the country before she came to power, I doubt Tim could have attended school to drink his milk since the teachers were always on strike?

Come the glorious day, comrades cheguevara.png

Hang on...smashing the power of the leftist loony's like Scargill and his ilk who were effectively the UKs unelected leaders was one of her better acts. I'll not take that away from her. Nor do I ascribe the entire GFC to her. The banks are guilty too. For a gross abuse of trust that she placed in them.

Ok Tim, you've proved yourself, I'm going on a 'commie' hunt with my mate McCarthy, we're gonna flush 'em out into the open...watch my back. :hyper:

Interesting reading this topic!

I was a kid at school when the milk was stopped and have no recollection of it at all. Which must mean that I wasn't deeply scarred by it like Toofasttim!!

When she was replaced as PM I was in about 15 or 16 (It's not her fault that I can't do simple maths by the way) and she was the only Prime Minister I could remember, which made her being replaced quite momentous. I don't really follow politics much but I can say that she was the last Strong leader of this country with everybody since being spineless and too eager to please all sides. I wonder what will be said about John Major or Tony Blair when they shuffle off their mortal coil?

Enough Said for the Iron Lady .

Glenn

(ps , one remarkable woman , IMHO )

I'll second that. She was a very tough, remarkabale lady. Our friends in the UK lost a great one, in my opinion.

Jimmie

I love Obama, think he's fantastic in every way.

What that TFT, they gave you milk? We had to carry our lunch money, Seems I recall it was $ .25 or so, then went up from there over time.

If they gave kids milk nowadays someone would sue for forcing it on the lactose intolerant!
